Joshua Carlisle is a Chattanooga, TN based drummer. "Growing up in the Chattanooga area, I began my playing experience as many drummers do, playing on everything from pots and pans, to tupperware and toy drums. My formal education began in sixth grade band, under the direction of Mr. Rick Chambers. As member of the Soddy Daisy High School band, I was fortunate to study under several amazing instructors, including solo snare champion and former Blast! cast member Naoki Ishikawa. After two years traveling with the Velocity Percussion Ensemble, led by another amazing instructor, Jonathan Duke, I turned my focus towards drum set performance and education. As a performer, I've been fortunate to work with a variety of artists and musicians, including a 2010 performance with Grammy Nominated singer Stella Parton. You can currently catch me live with several bands, including Rick Rushing & the Blues Strangers, Ogya World Music Band, and Brandon Maddox
